PAT TESTING
If the equipment is being used in public places and not just for your own use, it is essential that everything connected to the mains supply, (leads, distribution blocks, surge suppressors and the all equipment) is tested for Electrical Safety. Each item that is tested, must show a valid Tested Label giving the date it was tested and the date when it needs to be retested. As well as the electrical test, a visual inspection also has to be done and a Certificate presented listing all the items that were tested. We laminate the Certificate to make it resistant to wear and to ensure it cannot be tampered with. Check the Health & Safety Executive website for more information.
